Weighted frequency-difference EIT measurement of hemisphere phantom
We have proposed a new frequency difference method using a weighted voltage difference (WFD-EIT) between two frequencies [1, 2]. Previous studies demonstrated its feasibility through numerical experiments and two-dimensional phantom experiments. In this study, we validate the WFD-EIT algorithm on a three-dimensional hemisphere phantom using a multi-frequency EIT system KHU Mark1. We built the h...
متن کاملAssessment of EIT/CT Fusion Imaging using a Biological Phantom
A cylindrical slice of seeded winter melon with an air-cavity was imaged using CT and EIT imaging systems. The structural regions were extracted from the CT image using morphological image processing algorithms and fused with the functional information of its EIT image. Fusion performance showed a detectability increase of 67% along with a structural similarity increase of 26%.
متن کاملA phantom for assessing the performance of EIT systems
This paper describes a phantom built from 340 precision resistors on a printed circuit board (PCB) representing a circular homogeneous medium. Compared to other phantoms in the literature, this phantom generates very realistic signals while preserving the ability to produce localized perturbations for testing the imaging capabilities of an EIT system. Equivalent electrical models of the Ag/AgCl...
متن کاملPerformance assessment of EIT measurement systems
EIT acquisition systems, when regarded as measuring instruments, can be characterized by their inherent characteristics: reproducibility, repeatability and discrimination. The ultimate limit to all three is noise, whether long-term or short-term noise. In addition, for some applications accuracy can also play a role, although accuracy is not an inherent characteristic and requires a known test ...
متن کاملPhantom Limb Pain: Low Frequency Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in Unaffected Hemisphere
Phantom limb pain is very common after limb amputation and is often difficult to treat. The motor cortex stimulation is a valid treatment for deafferentation pain that does not respond to conventional pain treatment, with relief for 50% to 70% of patients. This treatment is invasive as it uses implanted epidural electrodes. Cortical stimulation can be performed noninvasively by repetitive trans...
